Upon entering our office for your first visit, you can expect our team to welcome you with warmth and hospitality. If you have not already done so, we will provide you with the necessary paperwork to complete before your consultatio. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your current health status. To expedite the paperwork process please fill out the Health Intake Form listed under the New Patient Center tab.
Next, you will sit down with Dr. Huls to discuss your health-related challenges, concerns, and potential care options. This initial visit is designed for information gathering and for Dr. Huls to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can assist you in reaching your goals.
After your consultation, Dr. Huls will perform a thorough chiropractic spinal evaluation testing the function of your spine and the nervous system that your spine protects. We will also utilize state of the art computerized analysis tools to evaluate your overall level of health and body function. These tests are completely safe for everyone, including pregnant women, newborns, and nursing mothers. We understand you may be nervous, so we make it a priority to explain exactly what the test is and what it is looking for prior to doing anything. No testing will take place without your consent.
Depending on your specific condition, it may be necessary to order X-rays as well. X-rays are a history lesson that allows us to understand the depth and degree of stresses that your spinal system has been under over your life. X-rays also alert us of any serious spinal conditions that you may have. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, they can even identify their loss of healthy spinal alignment and function themselves.
Once the information is collected and examinations are performed, Dr. Huls will analyze and interpret your findings to create a detailed report. This process takes time, so please don't expect to have all of the answers on your first visit.
At your second visit, Dr. Huls will present to you this detailed report of all evaluation findings and answer any questions including:
After reviewing your health history, goals, and examining your spine and test results, Dr. Huls will discuss Chiropractic care recommendations and notify you if your health challenges require cooperative care with other providers. Dr. Huls will provide the best chiropractic care plan for your needs.
In order to provide you with the very best care possible, we will take all the time necessary to thoroughly review your history and examination findings. We will do our homework and prepare a report with the results of all of your tests. We will then schedule a separate appointment to explain our findings to you so that you have all of your questions answered before any care begins. We find that the patients who get the best results consistently while under Chiropractic care, are those who have the best information and are the most curious about taking control of their health. Chiropractic care and healing are a process. The greater your understanding of the process, the better your experience and results are likely to be. Once you have been given your test results and recommended plan of care, you are ready to begin the process of gently and safely adjusting your spine toward better health and function.
